What does that mean for you?

Our Accreditation is a public commitment in that we strive to:

  • Assure persons served and their families that they can be confident that care and services will be focused on their unique needs
  • Respect individual cultural preferences
  • Be accountable to our funding sources, referral agencies, and the community at large
  • Address health and safety concerns, such as building safety and emergency preparedness
  • Maintain management practices that are efficient, cost-effective, and based on outcomes and consumer satisfaction
  • Provide evidence to persons served that our society has demonstrated its commitment to encouraging feedback, continuously improving services, enhancing performance, and managing risk

What is CARF?

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons served.

Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
