SUMMARY:CIB (Children In Between) - Parent Portion - Free
DESCRIPTION:Children In Between is a program designed to teach parents and children the impact of children witnessing relationship conflicts between their parents. The program will teach parents how to support and assist their children as they adapt to changing family relations\, and help children learn how to articulate their needs and feelings to their parent(s). \nThe program also teaches the child ways to tell the parents that they are being put in-between\, as well as to identify areas where this commonly occurs. \nResearch shows that over 60% of children who experience their parents’ separation or divorce have adjustment difficulties and may feel unhappy\, angry\, dissatisfied with life\, depressed\, and deeply lonely\, but most of the damage is caused not by the divorce itself\, but the on-going conflict between the parents. \nThe goal of this program is to empower parents and their children to adopt healthier communication and conflict resolution practices based on mutual respect and understanding. Please note there is a mandatory parent component preceding the children’s portion.
